I hope this post finds you all well and in good health and spirits.

I’m writing with some exciting news; we have a new home! We’ve concluded our deal and Tripology has officially been acquired by Rand McNally, the map giant.

For 150 years, Rand McNally has been the authority on travel in the US through the publication of maps, atlases and globes as well as trip planning technology and services.  There are strong synergies between the Tripology business model and Rand McNally’s strategic direction.

As far as our team, I’m happy to report that you’ll see some very familiar faces at Rand McNally, including Veronique, Men and, well, me!  We all have new titles but not to worry, we’re still focused on Tripology!

Tripologists with free or paid credits on file will continue to have those credits on file.

Thank you again for the countless emails, voicemails and posts with all your kind words of support.

I’m sure you all have questions. I promise, there is a great deal of wonderful news on the horizon, including product enhancements, additional agent tools and of course, lots of quality leads from high-intent travelers looking for travel specialists.

Remember when I made the announcement?
And so many people sent us emails saying we should be strong and bold.
Now we have some news! I know you’ve been waiting.
Do you want to know to whom we’ve sold?

My friends in the press keep asking for the scoop;
calling all day and night.
Not that I could tell them; it would’ve been too soon and it just wasn’t right.
And yet I did say it was a name everyone knew.
Lots of people were guessing, searching and speculating too.
LOI’s (letters of intent) some naysayers said, didn’t mean a thing.
Yes, they do. The deal is done. The answer is contained herein.

Do you need a hint? This company will guide you, from here to there. They know the world better than most; the places, the borders, the geographies.  Like Atlas, the world is on their shoulders.  You’d be hard pressed to find a person in the USA that hasn’t looked to them for travel guidance. 

Need another clue? If you had to get from here to there, you’d look at one of these. For this company knows where all roads lead, where every river winds, where every national park begins and ends. They inspire, they educate and now, trip planning is their focus.
